To access your e-mail account, you can either use BACKBONE DESIGNS, LLC's web-based e-mail client or a local e-mail client, such as Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, Netscape, or Eudora.

To access your web-based e-mail client:

1. Go to http://mail.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com should be replaced with your real domain name.
2. Enter your entire e-mail address in the Mailbox field. Type your password in the respective Password field, and click Login.

To access your e-mail through a local e-mail client on your computer:

You will first need to create the e-mail account in your e-mail client on your computer. Following are generic instructions for creating your e-mail account.

1. Account type: POP3.
2. Account name (Username): your entire e-mail address, including @yourdomain.com.
3. Password: the password that you set, or that was set for you by BACKBONE DESIGNS, LLC when your e-mail account was activated. This was sent to you in an e-mail.
4. Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com (Please replace yourdomain.com with your hosted domain name.).
5. (Optional) Incoming server port and connections settings:
   - Port 110 with regular connection (without SSL).
   - Port 110 with secure connection over TLS.
   - Port 995 with secure connection over SSL.
6. Outgoing mail server: Please use your current ISP as your outgoing mail server. Example: smtp-server.wi.rr.com.

If you cannot use your current ISP as your outgoing mail server, contact BACKBONE DESIGNS, LLC to have the BACKBONE SMTP server activated for you. Once the BACKBONE SMTP server is activated, use the following setting: smtp.yourdomain.com. (Please replace yourdomain.com with your hosted domain name.)

E-mail storage space with BACKBONE DESIGNS, LLC's Unix-based shared hosting plans:
There is no specific limit to the size of an e-mail box. If you have a Unix-based hosting plan, the disc storage space that you are allocated gets divided between your web site, the files you host on our server, and your e-mail accounts.

E-mail storage space with BACKBONE DESIGNS, LLC's Windows-based shared hosting plans:
There is no specific limit to the size of an e-mail box. If you have a Windows-based hosting plan, the e-mail space is shared between all your e-mail boxes.

Important: The e-mail space is allocated separately from your actual web hosting disk space.

The maximum number of e-mails that can be sent using BACKBONE DESIGNS, LLC's servers is 500 e-mails per 30 minutes. Anything above that number will cause your hosting account to be immediately placed on hold.

E-mail attachment size: the size of the attachments that you can send and receive by e-mail using your BACKBONE DESIGNS, LLC e-mail account depends on the e-mail software that you use:

• Web-based e-mail: 7MB max.
• Local e-mail client: 20MB max.
